How does this blog thingy work anyway?

It’s long overdue, but Serf City, everyone’s favorite libertarian tabloid, finally has a blog. Since we only publish about 3-4 paper issues a year, this will give our writers a forum for communicating with our loyal readers between issues.

What can you expect here? Mostly the same stuff you’d find in Serf City the paper, only more timely and more abbreviated. New York politics from a libertarian perspective, of course. We’ll also try to keep you in the loop about freedom activities around town.

I often hear complaints about the demise of the late, great Village Choice. Think of this blog as a new and improved version of The Village Choice, but instead of appearing in your inbox just once a week, we’ll update it throughout the week with news, rants and events of interest to the freedom community. We even have one of those nifty RSS feeds so you can add our content to your news aggregator.

This blog is very much a work in progress, so we’ll probably be tinkering with the design and format over the next few days. The next order of business is to get the other Serf City contributors up and blogging here. Right now I’m the only one who can post, but that will soon change.

And of course, we more than welcome your feedback in the comments section. Let us know what you like about this blog, what you hate, and how we can make it better. We might listen, but then again we might not.

Enjoy.
