New York City LP Nominating Convention – April 9

The New York City Libertarian Party Nominating Convention will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 7:00-9:30 p.m. at the New York Irish Center located at 10-40 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City, New York 11101  http://www.newyorkirishcenter.org/

Members will vote to nominate Libertarian candidates for NYC Mayor, Comptroller, and Public Advocate.

In addition we will address the following Proposed City Referenda / Ballot Initiatives:

  • REPEAL THE NYC SURVEILLANCE STATE (End Stop and Frisk, Ban Surveillance Cameras, Airport & Police Body Scanners throughout the 5-Borough Area)
  • REFORM CITY GOVERNMENT (Remove Mayor’s Unilateral Authority to Make Food and Health Regulations, or Bump Referendums off the Ballot; Eliminate the Offices of Public Advocate and Borough President)

 

DIRECTIONS: One stop, 5 minutes on the 7 subway train from Grand Central Station to the Vernon-Jackson stop. Admission is FREE but we will pass the hat for contributions to defray the cost of the venue.

Easiest way to get to the center is the 7 train to Vernon-Jackson (first 7 stop in Queens, one exit is right at the location).
