50,000 Leeches

TheĀ  subheadline at the WCBS website declares, “Taxpayers Tired of Recession & Furious With Budget Cuts Take Frustration to Streets of Manhattan.” Technically, I suppose the “labor unions, community groups and families” qualify as taxpayers, in that they go through the motions of filing a tax return each year, wherein they return some of stolen money that was allocated to them. But their rally cry was telling:

“No more cuts! No more cuts!”

Why would a “taxpayer” argue against spending cuts? Every dollar taken away from spending is a dollar in the taxpayers’ pockets, right?

“Governor Paterson, I wish you could have an open heart that we are going to suffer if this budget cut goes through,” said China Lankford of Jamaica.

Are you starting to get the impression that maybe China and her comrades are not truly ‘taxpayers” after all, but rather tax eaters?

“For those of you who prosper during boom time, we ask them pay a little bit more. Pay a little more so New York can avoid cutting the services that our most vulnerable need,” United Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten said.

Randi, I hate to break it to you, but its you and your ilk who prospered during the boom times. It was only because of the productive class upon which you leech that you have anything to eat at all. Now that we are in hard times, sorry, but the parasites will just have to suffer along with the rest of us.
